Professor Gill is a world-leading expert in drug delivery strategies for the CNS. An eminent neurosurgeon with over 30 years of experience, he has led multiple pre-clinical and clinical trials proving out the potential of CED and gene therapies as shown in the 2019 BBC documentary: ‘The Parkinson’s Drug Trial: A Miracle Cure?’.
Professor Gill is also a prolific inventor of medical technology, including the prestige cervical disk, and has pioneered Deep Brain Stimulation of novel targets in the brain. Formerly the Medical Director of Renishaw PLC, Neurological Division, he was responsible for development of all neurological products including robotics and software.
Professor Gill is an industry-leading expert on the delivery of novel therapeutics to the CNS and frequently consults with key decision makers from many of the world’s biggest pharmaceutical and biotech organisations.
